Simply awful

"In what universe is this a coffee substitute? To me, it tastes like ground up barbeque briquettes - smoky and gritty. I have tried making it with milk and water, both hot and cold. Each time I could only endure a few sips before throwing the rest away. I shall keep the rest of the pouch in case any visitors or friends want to try it, but I will not be having any more. I find it hard to believe there are five star reviews for this product. It is a great pity that Perfect Ted do not supply single use sachets so that people can taste test these products without such a big investment."

Hojicha Very disappointed

"I thought I would try Hojicha as it was decaffeinated . But I thought the taste was horrible. As I now have the whole sachet to get through and I don’t want to throw it away I will try adding a flavoured syrup to see if that makes it more palatable . If this doesn’t work I will stick to matcha. It would be a good idea to sell taster packs so if we don’t like the flavour we haven’t wasted so much."

Finally done Hojicha!

"Flavour was exactly what I'd hoped it would be so big win there. Only issue is, I've found even with extra whisking/frothing it can still be quite grainy when you get near the end. But will keep playing with method to see if it can improve. Would def buy again, and love the fact it's a bigger bag than the 75g ones."
