How to make the perfect matcha latte

Step 1

Scoop your matcha: ½ tsp (light), ¾ tsp (recommended) or 1 tsp (strong) into your chasen or bowl.

Step 2

Pour 40ml warm water over the matcha - never over 70°C or you'll burn it and make it bitter! :(

Step 3

Whisk or blend until frothy

(If this ritual doesn't sound like it works for you, simply add the powder to your milk and shake hard!)

Step 4

If you want it iced; grab some ice cubes and pour 150-200ml of your milk of choice into a glass, then pour in your matcha mixture on top.

Or if you prefer it hot; pour the matcha mixture into your cup, then pour your steamed milk over the top - no pressure on the latte art!
